“This KHI crew, we blew up yesterday," explained Crews. "They went back to the shop, and every single one of them only had two hours of sleep last night. For them to be able to work as hard as they do, 100+ hours a week to build a bad-ass race car is unbelievable."
Keelan Harvick Wins Legends Feature, Finishes Second in Street Stock Debut at New River
A double-duty night at New River All American Speedway proved to be a memorable one for Keelan Harvick.
The 11-year-old son of NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick won the Legends feature at New River on Saturday night and finished second in his first-ever race in a Street Stock. Both races were held in conjunction with the zMAX CARS Tour's visit to the Jacksonville, North Carolina facility.

Brent Crews will pilot the No. 29 Mobil1 Toyota Camry in the CARS Tour Late Model Stock division, vying for the 2024 championship. Crews, 15, became the youngest champion in Trans Am history when he won the 2023 Trans Am TA2 ProAm Series championship. 2023 also saw Crews capture his first ARCA Series win in only his second start from the pole, becoming the second-youngest driver to win in ARCA history. Crews is the youngest winner in a National Midget as well as a TA2 Trans Am. He holds three world titles in karts.
Josh Berry, Layne Riggs, William Sawalich and Landen Lewis will share driving duties in KHI’s No. 62 Late Model Stock entry.
Both will Pilot the No. 62 Ford for Kevin Harvick Inc.
Harrisburg, N.C. (November 10, 2023) – Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) announced today Josh Berry and Ryan Preece will join the team’s late-model program competing in races during November and December 2023.
Berry, driver of the No. 4 Ford in the Cup Series, will return to his roots competing in three Late Model Stock races behind the wheel of the No. 62 Ford Mustang. Berry will make his KHI debut on November 11 for the Fall Brawl at Hickory Motor Speedway where he will be paired for the first time with his Cup crew chief, Rodney Childers.
Will Pilot the No. 62 at Caraway Speedway
Harrisburg, N.C. (June 22, 2023) – Layne Riggs will make his first start for Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) in the CARS Tour race at Caraway Speedway on Wednesday, June 28, driving the No. 62. With his start for KHI, co-owned by Kevin and DeLana Harvick, Layne continues a family tradition that started with his father Scott and DeLana Harvick’s father, John Paul Linville.
“This really is a full circle moment for me,” said Scott Riggs. “Most people don’t know that one of my earlier opportunities came when DeLana’s dad, John Paul (Linville), called my local track, Orange County Speedway, looking for someone to drive his late model car when the tour came to town and the track gave him my name and number. To have that opportunity at my home track, to practice and drive the No. 62 car was huge for me. At the time, I was also competing against Rodney (Childers) and later had him as my crew chief on the NASCAR side. So many parts of my career are coming back together and to now see Layne driving the same car number for the same family, it really is special and I’m excited about this opportunity for him.”
