At 12 years old, Keelan Harvick has scored his first Limited Late Model win. He took the checkered flag in a 50-lap race at Florence Speedway today. The son of NASCAR champion Kevin Harvick is well on his way to being a successful racer himself.
Keelan Harvick made his first start in a Limited Late Model late in 2024 at Florence. Clearly he learned a thing or two because he not only won, but he won by four seconds running away.
Harvick won over Ricky Loclair Jr., Truett Miranda, David Snook Jr., and Blake Lothian to round out the top-5. There were 11 drivers in the field in total. Nine drivers finished on the lead lap.
On his way to victory, Keelan Harvick started on the pole, led every lap, and showed that there is likely more to him than just a name.
In his retirement, Kevin Harvick gets to do something perhaps more rewarding than his own racing career. He gets to guide his son on his own path in the sport. Already early in the 2025 season and Keelan has a win to his name.
Florence Speedway will likely be a track that Keelan Harvick attends frequently. Race fans will get to see Keelan and Kevin, father and son, compete against each other at points this season.
While Kevin is doing the TV thing over at FOX, Keelan will be putting in the laps. When the time comes, the old man might not be able to keep up with the kid.
