Gale Earns 12th-Place Finish at The Milwaukee Mile

WEST ALLIS, Wisc. (June 23, 2008) — Cale Gale and the No. 33 Kevin Harvick Inc. (KHI) Camping World Chevrolet started the Camping World RV Rental 250 at The Milwaukee Mile from the 20th position and raced to a solid 12th-place finish.

“We had a good car this weekend,” said Gale. “It was a brand new car and was fast from the start with practice. It was a great night for the team and I have to thank Wally and the guys for working hard and giving me such a good car. I had a lot of fun tonight.”

Starting the race from the 20th position, Gale moved into 12th place by lap 12. Under the first caution on lap 18, Gale radioed crew chief Wally Rogers that the car was “a little loose in turns one and two, but not bad.” The team opted to stay out and restarted 11th on lap 23.

Maintaining his place in the top 15 for most of the night, Gale kept his eye on the front of the field as the laps wound down. Following a caution on lap 155 where the team changed four tires and made an air pressure adjustment, Gale radioed Rogers the car was tighter than it had been the entire race. Several laps later on lap 164, Gale made contact with the No. 16 car, bringing out the sixth caution of the night. Pitting on lap 164, the team changed four tires and reversed the air pressure adjustment from the previous stop. With no damage to the car, Gale restarted the race on lap 168 in the 17th position.

With a strong car, Gale again began his move to the front and was able to cross the finish line on lap 250 in the 12th position.
