The
Adventures Of Flat Connor
By: Jessica Stroupe
Jack Sprague’s wife
Amy had an odd request of her husband at Kansas Speedway. Not
only did she ask him to run well in her absence, but she needed
a little help for her nephew Connor.
His class had just completed reading the famous children’s book
Flat Stanley. Connor’s teacher gave her student’s the task of
sending a flat life size version of themselves to a family
member out of state.
Connor’s first thought was to send his life size version of
himself to Aunt Amy and Uncle Jack in North Carolina. Flat
Connor traveled to not only to North Carolina but to Kansas with
Uncle Jack and his No. 2 American Commercial Lines team.
Flat Connor got the opportunity to visit Victory Lane, hang out
in the hauler with the team; he even suited up just in case he
needed to make a quick pit stop. He might have even brought a
little luck to Uncle Jack as he finished his season-best second
at Kansas.
